She is a member of IEEE Region 8 (EMEA) as well as the Founder of Difela Hymns, an online community that digitizes African hymns and the Difela Hymns Podcast. Through these initiatives, Lebogang provides accessibility to African hymns and promotes their cultural significance. In 2018, Lebogang won the Women in STEM award at the MTN App of the Year awards for Difela Hymns and was named an Inspiring50 South Africa winner in 2020. In her spare time, Lebogang enjoys hiking trails and reading over a cup of coffee.

In addition to her academic contributions, Dr Laloo holds the position of Secretary for the UNESCO National IFAP Committee Mauritius, highlighting her dedication to promoting Information for All Programme initiatives at a national level.
